The Code Maine Difference
Code Maine Coding Academy will give young adults in Central Maine an opportunity to gain valuable professional skills toward a lifelong career. These students will be uniquely prepared to enter the workforce having gained critical career development and software engineering training. And, importantly, they will be able to launch their careers without the burden of student loans as Code Maine offers a tuition-free program.
Our Story
The founders of the Academy saw a need in Central Maine for professional training of economically disadvantaged students who otherwise would not be attending university. Many small towns in this area grew from farming and manufacturing economies that have contracted over the years. Teaching sustainable business skills to students in this area will help local economies, reduce poverty levels, and the support overall health of the communities. We selected Dover-Foxcroft to be the home of Code Maine as a perfect spot to allow young adults to develop skills in demand in today’s business communities.
